I am so excited to have your child in fourth grade this year!! Here's a little bit about me.... I was born in Baltimore, Maryland where I was raised to be a loyal and proud Baltimore, Oriole fan! My family moved to Texas when I was in the seventh grade. I graduated from Kingwood High School near Houston. After graduation, I went to Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. I taught third and fourth grades in Waco for five years before moving to Round Rock where I have found my home here teaching third and fourth grades at the one and only Fern Bluff Elementary. Proud to be a bobcat!! This will be my seventeenth year of teaching!!
Some of my interests include: I love to read and write. I love all kinds of books and hope to one day publish a book myself! I also enjoy spending time with my family, fishing, catching a "ball" game, laying around on the beach, or SHOPPING!
My husband's name is Bob and he is busy all the time running his own business and building beautiful decks and outdoor kitchens for people to enjoy. We have two sons: Camden is 13 (he’s in 8th grade at Chisholm Middle) and Braden is 89 (he's in 4th grade - right here at FBE!). My boys are very active in sports and love to play football, lacrosse, basketball, and swim.
I have a deep passion to work with students. I take great pride in the fact that I make a difference in a child's life giving them the opportunity to acquire the knowledge, skills and competencies he or she will need in order to successfully meet the challenges of the future. I strive to ensure that my students get the most out of my classroom by stretching their minds and giving them the opportunity to explore different techniques in learning - and of course, making learning FUN!!
